Observation of adults and children indicates that when feelings are held in, the breath is held in. By the time we reach kindergarten we have already begun the process of holding our breath and the natural benefits of good breathing are altered. How often do you find yourself holding your breath?
WHAT IS IT?
Breathwork is the art and science of teaching breathing awareness and breathing techniques for enhancing the human physical, mental, emotional and spiritual condition. It is spontaneous and natural, beyond talk therapy - a sacred, soulful, unique personal experience.
HOW DO I DO IT?
Breath work is done one-to-one or in group sessions while I monitor your breathing patterns and technique. The breathing part of the session is usually done lying down with music playing in the background.
In this natural, facilitated process you may experience:
Physical - changes of temperature (feeling hot or cold), tightness, tingling, cramping, numbness
Emotional - awareness and release of feelings such as sadness, anger, fear, joy
Mental - memories of past events, relationships, early childhood, awareness of patterns, conditioning, limiting decisions, beliefs and unmet needs
Spiritual - deep relaxation, a sense of bliss, symbolic visions, connection to self, spirit, and the universe.
You are aware at all times and may stop the process at any time.
